My brother and I went to the movies and watched Hokum on Thursday night, the show was at 9:55. My brother bought a large popcorn and asked if the snack bar was going to still be open after the movie was over, but they told him it would most likely be closed. But my brother said that they told him he could bring it back in at a later date and get it refilled, would I be able to do that?

I’ve felt this way since I first saw X in theaters. Opening with the sheriff walking through the crime scene kind of undercut the suspense for me because it tells you right away that there’s going to be a massacre and that none of the characters will make it out. At first I didn’t mind the opening, but once I started really liking Jenna Ortega’s character, it just made me immediately sad because I thought, “Aww man, she’s gonna die.” Because horror movies really thrive on hoping that your favorite characters make it out alive, and that opening took that away. I’m not against her character dying, I just wish I could’ve held onto that hope a little longer. Anyone agree?
