Which is the correct timing mark?

The bottom gear. The video I watched says it's the pin, and the gear shown in the video doesn't have that smaller indentation.

The top 4 marks line up, this bottom indentation lines up,

But I'm hesitant since the video says it's the pin

I did the spin one tooth back. But I went based of the pin, I already spun the crank pulley 1/4 turn counter clockwise and then back but the pin didn't line up but that indentation did

This is the 3rd year I've had this tree but this year is the first year I've experienced this. This the first year that this tree fruits.

The first 3 images are all from the same branch, this branch has 5 limes on it so even though it looks bad I don't really want to chop it off. The other images are throughout the tree.

When I first noticed I started spraying with neem oil. I saw that you have to scrape at them a bit then spray them with the neem, it's gotten worse way worse.

I've chopped off a few tiny branches cause they were pretty bad, I've gone through a whole bottle of neem oil and I'm starting my 2nd bottle.

There also seems to be some [fungi](https://imgur.com/a/GQPdpcB) in the soil, if If I move the soil more come up, I noticed this cause I pulled out a gardening shovel that I had in that pot and when it moved the soil I noticed it. Don't think this is harmful, let me know if I'm wrong.

Not the best picture as there's no room,

But I don't see the little piston

2020 I had a friend of my dad who is a backyard mechanic change the tensioner. I remember I bought it from autozone took it to the guy and he swapped it out but then tells me it was defective and didn't work, so I went back to autozne got it warrantied and took him the new one, this 2nd one worked according to the guy, he fixed the car it drove fine when it worked,

From then to now it's been driving and breaking endless perpetual cycle, and when it's down its sitting for months since I have a reliable daily,

Late last year the car started making a sound, and yall from the sub said it was my tensioner, I decided to tackle this weekend and now I'm seeing what I provided in the picture,

So what are galls thoughts, did it fail? And that's why don't see the piston? Or did that guy not do it correctly?

We haven't talked to the since
