Not long passed my CBT and waiting for my bike to arrive. Not had time to consider locks/chains etc - and how to carry those items when I'm out riding - rucksack? pillion bag?

Can someone give me some suggestions please in the UK and also when I do get off my bike and lock it up, do I secure it to a lampost or another bike - do I put lock/chain through frame/wheel etc? I've no idea. TIA!
