I tried to create a shortcut last night. I chose ‘shutdown’ and was given the option of ‘shutdown’ or ‘restart.’ Since I want to create a shortcut for restarting the iPhone, I chose ‘restart.’

Then I selected an icon and color, and finally added it as a widget on the lock screen. When I tried the shortcut, it turned off the iPhone instead of restarting it.

Did I miss something here?

I’m trying to decide whether to buy a 2TB external SSD. I’m choosing between the Samsung T7 SSD and the SanDisk Extreme Portable. I’ve read that these drives can get very hot, which can cause the read and write speeds to slow down and may also shorten the lifespan of the drive.

If that’s true, can anyone recommend a drive that doesn’t get as hot?

I’ve had a 1TB Samsung T5 for several years and haven’t had any issues with overheating.
