Hi! I tried to make a shortcut that sends me a notification about the net time i spent sleeping that night (aka not broken down into phases, just the total time). I could tell you all the things i tried but honestly Im lost at this point, it either sends me a notification that just says "notification", or an empty one. I have an apple watch set as the source, so it should have the data, i just cant seem to figure out how to do it.
i want to visualize my workouts on calendar (image 2), but can’t find a way to do it except with apps. i’ve tried AutoEventMaker (abandoned) and HealthtoCalendar.
for Sleep, i successfully made the Shortcut with “Find Health Samples” (image 3). but i can’t find health data for workouts (i need the start & end time). fyi, i track my workout with an app that automatically syncs to Health app.
any idea of what causes this? can you find workout data in your Shortcuts?

I’m looking for a self motivation shortcut where i can run at a certain time. Let’s say I power my phone down (or airplane mode or something else like just locking it) I want the phone to send a text to my partner letting them know I’m using my phone. Could be simply unlocking the device before 5pm triggers it for example. Is there a way to set an imposed “dead man” shortcut where I would have to keep my phone off/disconnected/locked for a certain amount of time or a certain time passes or a text is sent?
i have this set on dnd (see pic). but how to set this simple automation whenever sleep mode is toggled (manually)
Hi all - I have a shortcut that checks the time and if it is after a specific time (in this case 9:30 pm), it reverts to Home Screen. This is paired with an automation that when any of a certain lists of apps are opened, it runs the shortcut. This works fine to limit my usage of social media after the specified time. (And thanks to previous redditors for the idea.) But what if I want that specific time threshold to be different depending on the day of the week? I cannot quite figure how to do it. Choose from menu? Ask for input? Check day of week against current date? Or do I need multiple automations?
Put another way, do I need a better/different shortcut or a better/different animation? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello! I have a shortcut that I run every evening which:
- Looks at the location and time of my events for tomorrow
- Looks at my alarms
- Shows a notification: “Your first event tomorrow is [EVENT TITLE] at [EVENT START TIME]. It will take you [TRANSIT TIME] to get there. Your first alarm is at [ALARM TIME]. Do you want to set a new alarm for [EVENT START TIME MINUS 90 MINS]?”
- Then I can either accept the suggested alarm time, set a new alarm for a new time, or say no to a new alarm entirely.
I have three weekly alarms:
- 8 AM and 9 AM on Mon, Tues, Wed, and Fri
- 7:30 AM on Thurs
Pain point: the “Find Alarms” command takes all my weekly alarms into account. For example, I have an event on Saturday morning at 10 AM. The notification told me that my first alarm tomorrow is at 7:30 AM… but that’s my Thursday alarm and it won’t go off on Saturday morning. Is there a way I can make the Shortcut filter alarms by the day they are scheduled instead of just the time?
So the automations having location related activation don't work like before. The above one is for the Gym and I have one set for the movies. So how do I fix this. Yes I have checked location settings and everything.
Also have I have noticed that the watch related automations are not enough for example if you want the automation on the watch and not on the phone you just can't. This annoys me.

I use two sims.
At my work, one of the two mobile network is basically dead.
The issue is that everywhere else i have no issue with this sim operator.
Since i had that number for many years, i have the one year mobile network plan with this number.
But because of this network issue at my place of work i use this second sim there.
Is it possible to change mobile network sim, automatically based on location?
Like a different mobile network source when ‘Work’ profile is active using shortcuts?

Is there an updated shortcut to get to the apps update page? Seems like they added another step to get to the page to check for update on 26.4 and my ocd self likes to check every day manually.

Made a shortcut that asks 4 AI’s the same question then review for accuracy and revise to be more human-like using accurate data from the AI’s responses.
Saves all responses to Note and only pops up the revised human-like response.
Uses AI apps on local device not API. AI used are locally AI, ChatGBT via Siri, Claude, and Siri.
Open to changes to make it better.

Is it possible to get a notification on the phone when the Apple Watch needs to be charged ?
I've figured out a way to store booleans with note tags, but that's about it.
There's also Scriptable, but that's a third party app, plus passing values back and forth like that is probably hella slow.
This automation is set to Run Immediately. When run, it pulls up the compose sheet with a blank message field. It used to forward the message successfully in the background but not anymore. I first noticed the issue after updating to 26.4.
Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!
I have two shortcuts that both run a shell script: one toggles between showing and hiding hidden files in Finder and another one writes the file directory of an external hard drive into a txt file.
Both run smoothly within the Shortcuts app. However, if I invoke them from Spotlight, the first one runs successfully but the second one (that one that writes the file directory of an external HD into a txt file) fails. It says "operation not permitted". I have given full disk access to the Finder app in Settings. I have searched in Google but none of the solutions provided works for me. Anyone knows how to make it work? Thanks!

I’d like to set up a shortcut for my Tesla’s Sentry Mode that automatically turns it off at 1:00 AM and back on at 5:00 AM to help save battery.
Ideally, I want to be able to activate or deactivate this shortcut whenever needed.
Is there a way to create or use such a shortcut?
