Some questions about modding and mechanics
To preface I have a small grasp on how you can edit XML's and mess around with them. This is mostly through the lens of wanting to play with this stuff within AotR.
Is porting units from other mods or even asking for help doing it frowned upon? I dont plan on uploading to the workshop and am doing this for my own personal use.
Is it difficult to port units? For instance porting a hero like Savage Opress from AotCW to AotR or a generic infantry unit from say Thrawns Revenge to AotR.
How involved is the process of making units playable? Do I have to code the AI to build said unit and then their playstyle with that unit?
Lastly when setting build limits, If there are five factions (Empire, Rebels, Black Sun, Hutts, CSA). With a build limit of 10 on a shared unit that they can all build, from a unique planet or something. Is that limit of 10 a total cap? Ie E:3 R:5 BS:2 meaning the Hutts and CSA cant build anymore until the units are destroyed? Or does it work per unique faction as in E:10 R:10 BS:10 HUTTS:10 CSA: 10?
