Could this be an Abyssinian tabby mix?

First of all, thanks for taking the time to read about Legolas (named after an elf because his ears are ginormous!)

I’ve had cats all my life and this guy has had some unique traits that I chalked up to just him being unique. I did not know what an Aby was until I stumbled upon a cat that looked like him and went down the Aby internet rabbit hole and here we are:)

If this group of Aby experts thinks he could be a mix, I’d like to do some genetic testing just out of curiosity and an absolute obsession with him.

Unique traits: he plays fetch. Like full-on game of fetch and doesn’t ever get tired it seems. He runs like a small galloping horse. I don’t know how he would survive in the wild and sneak stealthily on any prey because of his “weird loud run” as my Husband puts it. His tail seems double-jointed and is extremely flexible and points forward over his head when he runs! His fur has always felt like chinchilla fur and I thought it was just kitten fur but he still feels like that as a two year old. His hair also gets darker at the tips and is so dense and doesn’t feel like any cat I can recall.

Let me know your opinion on Legolas or “Lego” :)
