I generally prefer to avoid eating at chain restaurants if I can avoid it. But I also don't mind them, and have found that they can be as good or better than independent eateries for certain items. Some examples:
I love carrot cake. I have had it from many local bakeries, grocery stores, and restaurants. But my favorite? It remains Outback Steakhouse's carrot cake.
My favorite mozzarella sticks? Arby's
The best baby back ribs that I have had? TGI Fridays. I should add though that 1) this was about 30 years ago. I don't have any TGI Fridays near me anymore, and 2) I live in an area that isn't exactly known for having great BBQ restaurants. But I still thought that this one was worth mentioning.
Edit: I also wanted to add that Longhorn has the best chicken tenders.
I am curious to hear the dishes from chain restaurants that you recommend!
