so whenever am trying to verify and activate my account the app is opting for ' SMS verification ' and everytime this interface is popping up for 2-3 seconds and then closing. Tried this two more times got locked out, I've verified that the SIM and the registered number on the new device are both the same

I've observed that the same phenomenon has been seen in the app ' YONO SBI' haven't tried phone pay yet

So I checked that number to which this SBIUPI stuff is being forwarded to, turns out it's a mass reported ( 8000 reports) number with lot's of fraudulency reports, can someone tell me what is going on or is this safe or something?
