I have played a bit of Defenders of the Iron Wall and loved the ranged superiority and have played House of Wisdom and loved the alchemist and homunculus versatility, I am going to do Iron Sultanate for sure but I want to know if there is any benefit to trying the basic warband or the assassins.
I do not see the appeal for the basic warband version but if there is any suggestions or direction yall can give me I would appreciate it.
Hey my friends tricked me into MTG around 2022 and I have been hooked on it ever since, I chose Omnath Locus of Rage as my first ever commander I built from scratch, but now I feel that with how my friends have gotten their decks, it is time to add blue or even white to have better interaction.
As a Gruul player, it is kinda daunting to destroy my favorite deck and add something where I have to think harder but my friend has a lot of combo decks (atraxa blink, Yshtola combo, ur dragon, and noctis combo) and most of the time it is whether I can ramp faster, and if i can't I am shut out.
So I am thinking of adding blue to Omnath and making it Locus of the Roil or Flubs the fool, Adding some blue cards I put in other decks. but it is difficult finding the right cards to take out as I felt like with my collection of cards I built Omnath locus of rage as far as I could make it.

I have all these cards so right now I don't want to buy any expensive expensive cards, but Im looking to get a cards like
Trade Route - to synergize with wrenn and sevens 0 ability
Twinflame Travelers - to double the new commanders landfall triggers
Ghostly Flicker - to trigger the new commanders etb effect or two landfall triggers
Deprive - for an on-theme counterspell
Underworld Breach - to be able to use the cards in my graveyard
and the big chase card is Nissa, Resurgent Animist for
My old deck was made to churn out numerous 5/5 tokens and sac them for value and burn damage
now my idea is to have the new omnath be an epicenter for various combo lines, +1/+1 counters, landfall, and card draw as triggers help either ramp me up or stay relevant if I get targeted. A lot of cards have me mill, or discard my stuff so recursion was very important to me, land recursion especially.
Any help, direction or insight would be greatly appreciated
