Holy Hand Grenade In Napoleonic Times

In Koblenz, there is a legend captured by The Ferryman’s Dream sculpture. In 1813, this part of Germany was in danger of being captured by Napoleon. One night, eight dead German emperors, who are all buried in the Koblenz cathedral, rose from their graves to fight Napoleon. The emperors immediately waded into the Rhine to cross the river and defeat Napoleon! The emperors could not swim. Apparently, they had forgotten that they could not swim after being dead 700 - 800 years. Or they were ghosts and could not swim. Do ghosts have to swim instead of float in the air though? Were the emperors zombies? Did the miracle of their resurrection not include the ability to walk on water or swim? We do not know.
Once in the Rhine, at night, and drowning, the emperors called for help from the Ferryman. He wanted to be paid. A lot. The Ferryman was fighting the violence inherent in the system.

The Emperors paid the Ferryman. He saved them! The Ferryman also kept the Holy Hand Grenade dry. You can see that one emperor is holding the Holy Hand Grenade. Napoleon was defeated. The use of the Holy Hand Grenade was indubitably one of the reasons why Napoleon was defeated in 1814. His forces were blown to smithereens - in God’s mercy.
As for the Ferryman, he awakened the next morning and assumed he had had a bad dream. Perhaps he’d eaten too much pickled sauerkraut. Then he realized, however, that he was holding gold coins. On the gold coins, the Ferryman saw the emperor’s faces! Last night’s events had been no dream.
