My wonderful late husband volunteered for many years at a nonprofit specifically created to support grieving children. He taught me that they never said a person "committed" suicide. Suicide is complicated, but "committing suicide" sounds like a crime, and survivors do not deserve that stigma.

They died by suicide, killed themselves, or took their own life, often in a moment of biochemical imbalance.

A word choice can make a difference.

I have a new car (white), and the steering wheel is black, smooth, possibly leather. It's already hot to the touch. My last car had a light cover but still got hot.

What do other locals recommend? I've heard silicone is helpful in tremendous heat, but I'd love a specific recommendation.

My car is a 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Sport with a black and gray interior. I think a gray would be good but they're so hard to match. I've also ordered a sunshade.
