I know stickybottle has a product for this but they don't respond to my texts and last time I tried ordering I didn't hear anything for like 40 days and ended up cancelling my order (thankfully got refunded).
I faintly remember seeing a post here where someone shaved a little bit of the headset dustcap which allowed them to not use the transitional spacer. I'm looking for a solution like this. Has anyone done it?
It's hard to see what's happening when you slam the stem on the dust cap so I'm not 100% sure what part to shave / modify. It seems like it shouldn't be a problem but I can tell the cables are a little crimped when the stem is slammed without the transitional piece. So I wanna be safe.
Anyway if anyone has done this, please let me know how!
Here's a reference photo of what I'd like to achieve
