My HyperX Cloud III Audio Inverted (L=R, Front=Back) on Lenovo LOQ. I've tried everything.
Hey everyone,
I'm dealing with a bizarre audio mapping issue and I’ve officially hit a wall. I’m running a HyperX Cloud III on a Lenovo LOQ 15IAX9E, and my audio channels are completely mirrored. Left is Right, Right is Left, and Front is Back. Trying to play games like Ghost of Tsushima or Rust is basically a tactical nightmare right now.
Here’s the troubleshooting I’ve already done (so we can skip the basics):
- Nuked NGENUITY: Uninstalled it completely and forced Windows to use the Generic USB Audio drivers.
- Neutered Nahimic: Disabled all Nahimic devices (the standard Lenovo bloatware) via Device Manager and stopped the background services to prevent double-processing.
- Windows Audio Settings: Made sure "Exclusive Mode" and "Enable Audio Enhancements" are properly checked.
- Spatial Audio Test: I'm using DTS Sound Unbound. The L/R test actually sounds correct within the DTS app itself, but the moment I launch a game with its own 3D audio engine (like Tsushima), the channels flip completely.
- I've been testing between the included USB dongle and the direct 3.5mm jack to isolate the issue.
Has anyone encountered this specific global inversion bug? Is this a known firmware issue with the Cloud III dongles, or is the Lenovo motherboard forcing some weird hardware-level audio processing?
If anyone has the magic bullet for this, I'm all ears (preferably the correct ones). Thanks in advance!
