UWaterloo is interesting in how they function. They take a shit ton of smart kids, make them do a shit ton of work, force them to do 5/6 co-ops (otherwise they don't get any degree), and push em out to the workforce.

Academically, it is a tough school, but its not like EXTREMLY tough and doesn't hold prestige like MIT/Princeton/GTech does.

So ig I am wondering if any friends of Waterloo grads/actual Waterloo grads can tell me how their career prospects are looking like in this market?

Trying to figure out where the best place is to allocate my time.

I am (2nd year/sophomore) student from Canada who is looking to break into big tech in the near future. I have done two official co-op terms so far and have 4 left. Hey all!

I am a CE 2A -> 2B student who will be applying for fall 2026 internships. I wanted a last-minute resume review before I started applying. This will be the resume I plan to use for external job openings, my WW will be similar except education will be at the bottom.

Is it worth it bumping it down by 4 months so it looks like I grad in 2028 rather than 2029?
