I grew up in the Chicago area before joining the military and moving away. One of my most missed things is the cheese fries!
So, where I live now a new restaurant opened that is a “taste of Chicago”. I was so excited, until I went and found they are using nacho cheese for the sauce. They claim that true Chicago cheese fries are always nacho cheese. Am I remembering incorrectly? I would swear it’s generally regular cheddar based sauce and not nacho. Am I wrong?
