Manual Lymphatic Drainage

I’m slowly getting obsessed with MLD once I realized what all it can do for a person. For those LMt’s who utilize it and do these as a full session, do you ever incorporate massage into it or just lymphatic work?

I like the idea of 90 minutes with 30 minutes of myofascial and general massage, with an hour focused on MLD. I just feel like the two together would feel great on the body. Nothing deep, but just general massage on limbs and the back just as a “we saw you, we acknowledged you, and now we are saying good in a good flowing way” to end the session. I can do the MLD supine, then in theory finish prone with the full 30 minutes of light massage strokes and back massage, so there is no extra flipping.

For me personally if I got this as a full massage session I’d be ecstatic as a client. A little bit best of both worlds, without completely obliterating the client as it will all still be light work.

But thoughts and feedback? Thanks!!!!
