Honda Pridor: 6 Months Review
Hi! I have been using Honda Pridor since September 2025. Here are all the pros and cons that I have faced. It’s a 2024 Model and the Mileage is 12000KM when I bought it.
Let’s discuss seat. It’s fairly comfortable not that comfortable as of YBR but many times better than CD 70.
The kick is harder if you are habitual to kick firmly like CD 70. The kick needs a time. If you kick it without giving proper time, it backs off.
I have never faced any difficulty regarding the shifting of gears. I can easily shift up or down. Rider just has to make sure it is shifting at proper speeds. Since its gear ratio is low so the bike needs an early shifting in the first 3 gears. That’s what I have observed, I might be wrong in it.
The bike is extremely comfortable at 50km/hr. 60 is comfortably but with minute vibrations. After 60, the vibrations are significant.
Let’s discuss shocks. The shocks’ absorption impact is the same as of CD 70. However, due to large travel time, you feel a little comfort on pits and bumps. These shocks are not designed to be ridden like YBR and GS 150 at high speeds. So, you have to stop and pass the bump at the same speed as you do on CD 70.
Let’s discuss pick up. As far as the pick up is concerned, it has good acceleration. If you come from CD 70, you definitely enjoy the initial acceleration. I have tried GD 110s. Didn’t like the initial pickup.
Let’s discuss brakes. The front brake is harder to apply as compared to 70cc however the stopping power is good. The back brake is good too. But keep in mind that it is heavier than CD 70 and needs more time to stop. But with proper functioning leather and good tire tread, you can significantly reduce the stopping time.
The most observed drawback of Pridor is that when you apply brakes the back tire skids. It skids no matter what. The tires with poor tread the skid is a must. While the new tires significantly reduce that. However, it still exists during rainy days or other harsh conditions.
Coming to chassis. The chassis is strong enough. That is one of the reasons for Pridor to be heavier. However, it can handle large amount of weight because of this as this model is based on Honda Deluxe chassis.
Coming to any noise, I did not hear any noise till now. No engine noise, no heating issue etc.
The maximum speed that I have got from it is 90km/hr. The mileage is 50km/Ltr with 60km/hr avg speed. I don’t monitor very keenly so the average can be 55km/Ltr too. I tune that up at 2000 KMs from dealership and change oil on 800 KM. It’s because in my opinion Atlas Honda’s oil is not too good. Moreover, I have also tested at 700 KM by asking mechanic that is the oil fine. He told no. It needs to be replaced. So, prevention is better.
Moving on to front headlight and meter, the lights have improved since early 2012s models but not that much effective. You need to have a separate led.
However, one drawback is that you cannot install a bigger battery as the Pridor has small Alternator which is the device that charges battery. The bigger battery will eventually drain.
Morning Kick Start. A good condition with properly tuned Pridor needs to be revved up for 30 secs manually in the morning. After this, it won’t be turned off. It will start without even revving in the first kick.
For all of you who need a good bike in a significantly low budget, that’s a way to go. Not a bad purchase but still it’s not a great too.
