Stressed I won’t get my points + studying

I’m so overwhelmed right now, I know everyone is in the same position but I need some reassurance. My first choice is 541 points, and I got 490 in my mocks so I was feeling pretty good. Usually I study 3-4 hours, and recently I’ve been aiming for 8-10 hrs on weekends (using pomodoro technique and making sure I get 20 min breaks every two hours, and 2 hour break after 6 hours)

The main reason why I’m so worried is I definitely slowed down with the study after orals, I basically did nothing over easter and the rest of April I only did a few bits of study here and there but nothing super consistent.

Mock grades: Irish (H3), Maths (O3, not counting), English (H2), French (H3), History (H2), Geography (H3), Biology (H2)

I need to turn two of my H2s into H1s (history and biology seem easiest for me) and one of my H3s into a H2 (I’m thinking geography, since I have the project done, French is a bit unpredictable and Irish is pretty heavy, but there is so much to learn for geography)

Does anyone have any tips for geography and history? The learning isn’t my problem, I can learn essays off but I’m worried I won’t get it all covered. What should I plan to do for the next 3 weeks? Also general tips are welcome. Anything would help rn

Trinity Hall VS 3rd Party Accommodation

Hi all, very confused incoming first year undergraduate! I don’t have any older siblings or know anyone who has had experience with halls, so I’d like to run this by you guys. Any advice appreciated.

I live outside of Dublin (like 2/2 and half hour drive), and halls seem like a good option especially for the college experience although I know it isn’t on campus. From what I’ve seen online, a lot of people who live outside of Dublin have relied on the lottery for halls and it’s usually worked out, but I’ve heard of it not going so well other times and I don’t want to be in that situation.

I’ve just booked 3rd party accommodation (Yugo Highfield Park), but there is a cooldown period of two weeks where cancellation is free. After this period If I got halls, I could cancel but I wouldn’t get my deposit back and I would need to find a student to replace my tenancy (the company would also help with finding another student). If I or they couldn’t find a replacement, I’d be liable to paying the rent anyway.

Basically, I’m just wondering has anyone been in this situation before? Should I just stick with the 3rd party accommodation altogether seeing as it’s only 20 mins further than halls, and I know I have my room, or is halls worth it and would I have a good chance of getting them?

If anyone has any experience with this or just their own opinion, I’d appreciate it.
