I’m trying to figure out the correct ANZSCO occupation for my skills assessment and I’m getting conflicting advice, so I’d really appreciate some guidance.
My background:
Currently working at a Big 4 firm in IT Audit
Role: IT Audit / IT Risk / Controls Assurance (working with external audit teams and clients)
Tasks include:
IT General Controls (ITGC) testing
SAP controls testing
SOX compliance testing
Access controls / user provisioning reviews
Supporting financial audit teams from an IT systems perspective
Education:
Bachelor’s degree (Monash University – Business Administration)
Master’s degree ( Information Systems Assurance / Management)
Location experience: Canada-based role currently
The issue:
Where should I do my skills assessment?
I’m unsure how this maps for Australian skilled migration (ACS assessment).
I’ve seen people suggest different occupations like:
External Auditor
Internal Auditor
ICT Business Analyst
ICT Systems Analyst
ICT Security Specialist
But I’m not sure which one actually matches my duties best.
