Is this true?

I was told that untreated syphilis could cause your CD4 to go down and viral load to go up? My initial CD4 was 1105 (or close to it) and viral load 8002 would it have been lower if I wasn't fighting a syphilis infection?

As of April 9 2026 I was diagnosed HIV positive. It was a complete shock because I didn't have the slightest idea of how I could of caught it. ***Sex partner had it and didn't disclose ***Had symptoms of other STI so I went and got tested never imagined it'd come back positive for HIV. I've never had any STI before and the 1st one I catch is HIV I was sick. Last week I did my first blood labs and cried all that day and the days that followed until my appt with Dr. To go over my results. From what I had read online I was prepared for my doctor to come back with some ridiculously high number for my viral load so was stumped when she said that my viral load was 8000 and my CD4 was 1102. She said my numbers were great and she wouldn't be surprised if I was undetectable already. As sad and depressed as I am she gave me a little bit of hope that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. My best friend was there when I got my results and has been there for me ever since. I don't know what I would do if she weren't around. I haven't told my family yet most because I don't know how to tell them.

Right now I'm lost and fighting a battle with my depression and just needed to vent.
