Separation/ divorce unfair

I know most men feel like the woman gets everything or half of everything but I just want to say how unfair it is on women too

My husband has just left, and whilst it’s fine that it’s not worked out I just find it unfair that I’ve had to leave my job and my studies because of it, because I got left with the kids, the bills and the house whilst he left town to go to a different city, without even thinking about sharing responsibilities so that I could accommodate his life (his job) and he can accommodate mine (work and study) so basically we would both share the responsibilities for the kids meaning we both still get life.

But it’s not fair because unfortunately I am now having to claim benefits and leave my job because there’s no way I can work and study whilst raising the children alone, they are all pretty young so not at an age where they can do things for themselves my oldest has autism so that’s just icing on the cake she’s very dependent and none verbal so it’s a challenge but normally we would manage, husband would take kids to school and work from home and I would work weekends 12 hour shifts and then on days off I would take kids to school it just worked

So unfair I got stuck with the kids alone

By the way I want nothing from this divorce except shared responsibility for the kids which I never thought we’d have to do because I just always thought we both were good parents but now that he has left and no contact I’m just thinking it’s best to have this agreement in writing, no money just shared responsibility

I am broken but not much I can do
