I have a colleague that continues to make uncomfortable comments about me not being in a relationship (they don’t know about my diagnosis). They will say things like “when you get a boyfriend you will understand this and that”.

I’ve never spoken to them about my private life. When they make comments I just ignore them as I don’t know how to deal with it. They’re extremely male centered and co-dependent on their partner so the concept of not wanting a relationship flies over their head.

It actually makes me viscerally angry, because despite any accomplishments I have the only thing that should be achieved in her eyes is a relationship with a man.
