Advice on breakage thin/fine hair

Hi! I’m new here, only found this page this morning and I’ve been scrolling through non-stop haha. (These pics are about 8–9 months apart.)

I would just love some reassurance please. I’m close to a breakdown over my hair and I’m praying there’s something I can do to fix it.

Context: I’ve lost 5 stone (30ish kg, 70lbs) in the last 2 years. My hair at my heaviest weight was genuinely the thickest and fullest it’s ever been (I’ll attach a pic in the comments). After losing weight my hair became much finer and more fragile, especially through the lengths and ends. I’ve regained some health at the roots now, but my ends still look wispy and break easily. Thankfully I never had any bald patches, but my lengths lost a lot of fullness and my ponytail became so much smaller than it used to be. I think the weight loss and not eating enough affected the condition of my hair overall.

Now I’m finally feeling more confident in myself and wanting to go out more, but my hair is still my biggest insecurity and I’m so embarrassed by it.

I’ve been taking supplements (marine collagen, pumpkin seed oil, vitamin D, strong iron tablets as I’m borderline anaemic, plus copper + zinc) for about a year now and I definitely see healthier regrowth at the roots, but my ends just don’t stay. It’s like they get to a certain point and snap off and look see-through.

What can I do to keep my ends healthy and stop the breakage? Please help 😢

I appreciate anyone taking the time to read all of this haha.
