I saw a video of high schoolers struggling to read basic words, and the school later claimed one of them is an honors student with a 4.9 GPA. How is it possible for someone to perform that well academically but struggle with reading aloud? Is this grade inflation, gaps in the education system, or something else? At what point does this become educational neglect, and who’s responsible?
