Hey, this is pretty obviously someone's pet rat, though I'm sad to say it was dead when I picked it up from the middle of the road. It had no obvious trauma or wounds so I'm not sure how it died, maybe falling out of someone's car.
Anyway, just posting this just in case someone is looking for it. I'm sorry for your loss if this poor guy's your buddy.
Also if anyone knows what to do with it please tell me.
Update: picked it up and put it in a box just in case the owner sees this and wants it returned
Update 2: Before bagging it up I checked and she is a female, also her torso was flattened slightly and a bit wonky so I think she must've gotten out and been ran over... Once it's past 5PM I'm gonna try going door to door to see if I can find the owner that way since this girl must've not gone far
Update 3: It's the next day and unfortunately still no owner found. I had to throw her away due to it being too long. If the owner finds this post later on, I'm sorry I couldn't get to you.
