Need help choosing between two used gaming PCs both 500– which is better value?
Hey everyone, I’m trying to decide between two second-hand gaming PCs and I’m a bit stuck. I’ll mainly use it for gaming, game design, photo/video editing, and some music production. I’d really appreciate opinions on which one is the better deal and more future-proof.
PC 1 (Ryzen 7 5800X + RTX 3060 Ti) CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X (8-core) GPU: RTX 3060 Ti 8GB (ASUS) RAM: 32GB DDR4 (Fury Beast) Storage: ~1TB SSD Motherboard: rog strix b550-f gaming AIO liquid cooling (claims ~200h use)
PC 2 (Ryzen 9 5950X + GTX 1660 Super) CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5950X (16-core) GPU: GTX 1660 Super 6GB (Zotac) RAM: 32GB DDR4 3200MHz (2x16GB RGB) Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD + 2TB HDD Motherboard: MSI MAG X570S Torpedo Max PSU: 1000W Gigabyte 80+ Gold
PC 1 has way better GPU but weaker CPU PC 2 has insanely strong CPU but much weaker GPU I do gaming + creative work, so I’m not sure which balance matters more Both are 500 so I'm not sure which to go for
