Hey guys, i thrifted this Hamilton today and im trying to get the caseback off and i cant find any spots to pry and looks like someone has tried before but I haven’t a clue if they’ve ruined the lip or what, any advice for a stuck caseback or tight one?
Hey everybody, I’m a beginner watch tinkerer with ambitions to actually be a watchmaker some day or atleast a very good tech, but my friend passed away and he was an older watchmaker and I was gifted a whole bunch of his old watch repair projects, pocket watches, and all sorts of other stuff and found this Hamilton in the pile that looked like it just needed a new stem. So I order one for it and it fit like a glove, so now I’m on the next part of setting the watch back in the case but it seems to me it should have a sort of filler piece? And I also have no idea how to find a replacement crystal for this exact model and was stumped on how you guys might go about this, thank you for any and all advice!
