Mac Laptop adapter
Hi!
I am confused and am not computer savvy, please be nice I have a 2024 macbook Air, two usb-c ports. Currently, I have A "Display Link Pluggable" device that connects my keyboard, mouse, internet to the laptop at my desk via USB-C. Then, my screen is connected via VGA cable, that has an adapter to usb-c. The Pluggable does not have a VGA port.
Now, unfortunately, one of my usb-c ports on my laptop is busted. So I need to connect everything with one port.
So my options are:
Find a new docking station overall that has a VGA port, 2 USB A for my mouse and keyboard, Ethernet, and is Macbook 2024 compatible via USB-C. Having trouble finding ones with VGA and that are compatible with the Macbook.
Find an 2-1 USB-C adapter that does all of the functions i need (charging and all the other stuff) For this option I'm having a hard time understanding the different versions of USB-C, most of the 2 to 1 adapters are for cell phones and I assume won't do the job.
Help??
