As of today gemini was forced onto my chromestick tv. I cant even use the search/microphone feature on my tv without it using ai! Im not even asking questions that require ai, i mostly just use it to say things instead of typing. I hate to think that google destroys so much of earths resources each time i push a button. Theres a google ai data center destroying my town and the effects are already detrimental. I only used this device because a friend gave it to me for free but it’s not worth it if it’s dependent on ai to function.
Im curious if i just have to unplug and retire the chromestick or if there is some work around to remove and disable gemini completely. I tried disabling voice control under privacy but the gemini thing is still there. Any help is appreciated.
