Planning a trip from Melbourne up the east coast to Byron and back inland, anyone got any hot spots or recommendations?

I’ll be doing a mix of camping and motel stays, also a couple fancier airbnb type retreats.

So far I’ve got Dargo, Bellbird Creek, Eden, Jamberoo, and some other random spots on the coast. On the way back I was going to detour to Lightning Ridge and then figure out coming back inland.
