Driver added their own tip after I left vehicle
I took an uber this morning to the airport that had an iPad screen in the back seat. There was an option on the screen to select a tip. I didn’t touch the iPad during the duration of my trip and decided to tip using my phone. I tipped over 25% and got out of the vehicle. While standing in the security line I noticed that I had an “unpaid trip” for $90, which is saying I tipped $90. I do not have $90 to spare and would never tip that much. $90 was not even an option and it would have had to be manually typed in so I came to the conclusion that the driver probably typed $90 in the iPad themselves. I paid using my Apple Cash balance, which was not enough to cover that $90 so I technically wasn’t charged but it is sitting in my account saying I owe $90. I reported this to uber as fraud and was told they would get back to me In 6-12 hours. (over 12 hours ago) I’m curious if anyone else has experienced this and if the charge can be removed?
