Would anyone just want to grab some group drinks (or non-drinks) this Thursday at Brewster? I’ll bring my dog and just hangout after work but I want to meet people here - new to the area, new to California.

Edit: 6-6:30pm at Brewsters! I’ll be at a table with a brown dog with pointy ears. I’m a short red head but Denji is much more recognizable.

I have exhausted the Meta AI support so I’m hoping someone here might be able to guide me or give me suggestions.

Yesterday, I was setting up ads for a page I now manage (new job) and it wouldn’t allow me to publish the finished ad due to a restriction on an account. After some digging around I discover the restriction was on my personal ad account due to an outstanding balance of …6300 Thai Baht that was charged in June of 2022. I am not Thai, have never been to Thailand and have never used my personal ad account. So I report this to Meta to which they escalate to a “specialized” team to look into it and tell me it’ll be 24-48 hours. Okay, I can wait.

Log in this morning to check the status on this case to find that “Billy” messaged saying that my payments account was disabled because it violated Meta’s terms of service and in the “interest of protecting our users, we cannot confidently re-enable your payments account at this time” and closed the chat/case. Okay, Meta, well I wasn’t trying to pay the fraudulent balance anyway. So I try to chat with “Billy” again only to get the AI support and I try to walk through all the steps to request a review of my account (the option is not there) and all different ways to get my account re-enabled. The bot tells me that a live agent support is “not an option for this issue”. I asked what issue would get me a live agent and it said a hacked account (back to square 1) and I tell it that’s what I need support for and then it said it still can’t connect me to a live agent and shut the chat down on me again.

I’ve spent all day in this horrible AI loop and I just need to be able to advertise for a page I manage for my new job. Does anyone have any recommendations, suggestions, work arounds or anything that might help?

I’m thinking I’ll have to create a new Facebook account and get it re-added to manage the business page but I don’t want that to get taken down since it would be brand new and not used except for this…is that my only option?
