This question is open to all delivery drivers. Not just DoorDash. I read a post on Reddit not too long ago from an alleged programmer that works for one of the big delivery driver companies. The programmer claimed that the tip amount entered upon placing an order does not go to the driver but straight to the company itself. Is there any truth to this claim? Do you get to see the tip amount on your deliveries? Have you confirmed that you are getting paid the full amount of each tip? Or is the company skimming a percent of your tip off the top? I thought the claim was a bit absurd, but I also would not rule out these companies wanting bigger profits. Curious to hear your responses. Thanks!
