My second-ever Seiko was the Seiko 5 x Huf collab (SRPL33J1). I loved the watch, but I eventually realized those vibrant colors meant it stayed in the watch box way too often.

I was originally dead set on upgrading to a black Baby Samurai, but once I saw the SPB187, I changed course and left the store with the blue "Marinemaster 200" instead. It’s been great, but lately, I’ve been itching for the GMT version. However, the prices have been pretty crazy, and I just couldn’t justify the jump.

When this SPB475 came up for a reasonable price, I snagged it, thinking it would be the perfect GMT replacement for my 187. But now that I have it, I find myself still gravitating toward the 187's subtle navy blue dial and that iconic red dot on the seconds hand. I’ve realized I’m already putting the SPB475 aside because the teal dial feels like a bit "too much" for sometimes.

Now I’m torn. Do I let go of the 187 and commit to the 475? Or do I move them both and finally hunt down a SPB383 or 381 GMT?
