I know 9mm has been all the rage, and .40 caliber police trade in market has dried up over the last year or two from what I've seen. Queensland Police in AU noted issues with their aging 25 year old Glock 22s recently. Other than that, are there any large LE departments still issuing weapons in .40 or .45 in 2026 with no plans to replace them in the near future?

Curious, is the Beretta M9 pistol still in service? Or has it been fully replaced by the M17 and M18 by now across all branches?
