Ex boyfriend wtf is going on HELP
me and my boyfriend broke up the day before Valentines day (lol) this year 2026. we broke up over the phone as I had come down to stay with my family so we could both take a breather from each other. Before we ended things he would say he was going to pick me up every week on the weekend and then fail to do so. Eventually it was pretty obvious I wasn’t wanted back. Yet he kept saying he would come get me, but consistently made an excuse why he couldn’t, or started a fight and used that as his excuse. Now present day we speak every now and again and catch up on text and rarely calls. We both agreed we miss each other and would like to have a visit and catch up in person. It was scheduled we’d see each other last weekend on Saturday. I booked the day off work to see him and told him honestly that I was looking forward to our visit. He never came, and he texted me late in the day to tell me he would not be coming. That day was awful for me and it felt like we’d broken up all over again. I was intensely disappointed and decided this was proof he did not care like I naively thought he did. And he does not love me. Now I have just received a text asking if he should come see me this weekend. But Hes confused and saying he doesn’t want to have sex and make a mistake and he is “unsure”. we Had previously discussed boundaries if we were to meet and I clearly stated I had, and still have 0 intentions of initiating sex with him or anything of the sort. I made it abundantly clear that I just wanted to catch up and take my dog on a walk with him. Yet Hes saying Hes confused and doesn’t want to have sex?? Help me understand What’s happening. He consistently says he loves me and cares for me but his behaviour tells me otherwise. Any advice would be appreciated.
