Hi guys,

I was driving on a highway in NJ and passed a landscaping truck with loose material in the back. While I was passing, it looked like debris was flying off the trailer and hit my windshield, causing multiple chips.

I have dashcam footage showing particles flying from the truck area, but it is not 100% clear whether it came directly from the truck or was kicked up from the road. I do have the license plate and company name.

My insurance has a $1000 deductible, so I am trying to see if it is worth pursuing the company directly. I'm also a bit concerned about potential hassle or complications.

Do I have a reasonable claim here, or is this usually considered road debris?

Any advice on how to handle it would be much appreciated. Thank you so much for your help!
