I have an Audi A3 8L 1.9 TDI (2003) with automatic transmission.
My problem:
The car drives fine, but reverse gear is not working.
I bought a used automatic transmission, but when my mechanic tried to install it, he said it does NOT match my original one (different type).
Unfortunately, we could not read the transmission code on my original gearbox, but I was told it might be “FST”.

**• Are all 01M gearboxes interchangeable for 1.9 TDI?**
