Boiling sweet potatoes look weird?

Boiling sweet potatoes look weird?

Sweet potatoes were firm and looked normal on the outside, but once added to the pot they look splotchy. Are they spoiled? I've made sweet potatoes this way plenty of times and never noticed this appearance

Hi all! My 4 year old loves "riding" bikes. But he hates balance bikes, and he refuses to use pedals. He has tried a couple times and moved a little bit, but then he gets frustrated and resorts back to using his feet on the ground to push forward.

It's also rapidly eating through shoes 🤦‍♀️he claims it's faster to use feet than pedals, but he won't listen to us telling him pedals will be faster woth practice. He's also in a daycare/pre-k type of class, and all the other kids seem to pedal most of the time. So it seems like social pressure isn't motivating him either lol

I don't want to just keep pushing for pedals and making him too frustrated to want to ride anymore, but I really want him to move past the shoe scraping on the ground.
