I like the campaign

I understand people who say it’s a slog, and a time sink. I do. But I think this is good and adds value for a couple of difference reasons

  1. A significant amount of the fun of trying a new build is seeing how the feel of the build changes as you go. I think it awards a degree of intuition, and it’s sort of gratifying as you go to see your concept work. It also allows you to work with a skill and get a feel for how it can work best, for those people who aren’t already doing a specific build or using a guide. This was what drew me into the game in the first place.

I can also understand how players who have already tried every build may not appreciate this point as much.

  1. The “time sink” element. This prevents the game from being overrun with bots, or extremely high level characters. Either would massively inflate the market. Inevitably, I’m sure somebody will make the point that the market is already flawed/bad/imperfect/etc because of same issue/league mechanics/etc but it wouldn’t make sense to intentionally ruin the market permanently. This is a problem nobody sees, in my opinion, because it’s a problem that is already being prevented. I don’t think it’s a good idea to close my umbrella just because I’m not getting wet. Shortening or skipping the campaign seems like sort of a point of no return type of change.

For whatever it’s worth. I feel like we see the most posts/comments saying the opposite.
