I have an opportunity to buy a Prusa mini for $100. I currently have a mk3s and I do wish I could print more, but is it worth it?

I have a mk3s and everything has been working just fine and now I can’t get it to recognize sd cards. I’ve tried the trick about pulling it out a little, I’ve tried reformatting it. Both cards I’ve tried are formatted to FAT32. The cards work fine in my laptop. What is going on here?

I’m a novice so forgive my ignorance. I would like to upgrade a mk3s that I inherited. What is the most practical and economical upgrade that I can make. I’ve heard about raspberry pi with Klipper and I’ve heard mk3.5 may be worth it. Which route would give me the best bang for the buck? I really appreciate the feedback.
