









Terrain-appropriate town screens possible mod
Thanks for warm reactions to my previous post. To clarify, I am not a bot nor a mindless AI endorser. Some years ago I used to spend hours to make maps for me, my wife and my friends to play on, using some ERA and VCMI plugins (like marvelous Fred79's object patches, that really took the visuals of the game to another level). I was never a hardcore player and always were more on the visual side of the things. I grew up with Heroes 3 and it had a great influence on me in terms of perceiving the visuals of a fantasy settings. As mentioned before as a child I dreamt of how it would be if the terrain in the city screens would change according to the map terrain, like it was done in IV.
So, since it wasn't done before I decided I might as well try it. The screens I posted previously were the first instance of me using an ai. Some of them were overly cinematic and posted in initial awe that the child in me was experiencing. I will try to keep visuals and atmosphere of the cities as vanilla as possible, in some instances some of them obviously will stick out a bit more and be not everyone's cup of tea (sorry for taking the Dungeon to the surface, I believe I saw it outside in some of the campaigns cutscenes). Screens will still require a lot of manual tweaking and corrections in PS. Huge kudos for u/daemon_n for offering me help and guidance.
