My toddler is joining daycare for the first time. He’s been cared for at home by his dad, who just got a full-time job he has to take. We booked a school tour and was encouraged to bring our toddler. He was great outside on the playground, but as soon as they brought us into a classroom it all broke down. He didn’t wash his hands with the other kids and screamed when I took him to the sink, he couldn’t really sit in a chair and eat snacks with others without swiping food, and he was adamant on running around the room and getting into stuff. he ripped something off the wall, to which one of the staff members gave him a pretty sharp reaction I wasnt expecting. it was tough to imagine him being in that room daily without being a huge disturbance. I didn’t really get great vibes from staff. He just turned 2… anyone else had a transition from home care to daycare where your kid acted like a wild animal at daycare?
