Soo after my m45 in my 1983 244 is about to explode i am planning to swap it for a m47 type 1. After a bit of a search i found one, unfortunatly it brings me to another problem. The driveshaft…. I thought I could just hook a m47 driveshaft unfortunatly there there is also an old an new style to this one. And the old m47 drive shaft with u-joints is impossible to find, almost all of them have the Gumbo rubber fitting.

Now am i wondering whether I could swap the yoke on my type 1 m47 for a yoke of a type 2 m47 so I can connect a driveshaft with a gumbo rubber connection. Any experiences with this? Any advice is welcome!
