I've found a car on Car Supermarket with a decent part-exchange offer, though I haven't viewed it yet. I ran both a CarVertical and Total Car Check report — everything looks fine apart from CarVertical flagging a possible mileage rollback and crash damage. The dealer denies any issues, and the listing makes no mention of a category write-off.

When I raised my concerns with Car Supermarket, they supplied an HPI check which shows no damage history whatsoever.

So my question is: could CarVertical be showing a false positive here?

I've picked up an OBD reader and paint depth tester ready for when I go to view the car later this week.
