FAQs

Why did you switch to oral ?

Switched finasteride because of the efficacy, the topical fin(0.1%) is not enough for properly controlling DHT. And switched min oral due to hassle.

Yes - 100% same.

Did you change diet/gym/sleep?

No

Did you consult a dermatologist?

No, i didn't as I did a lot of deep research before starting meds, i mean a lot - why hair loss occurs, what's the mechanism, what's the available treatment, what's are risks , how exactly those meds work, meta studies ,etc etc.

Note :- I don't recommend self medication, please at least visit the dermatologist once for proper diagnosis, especially before starting oral minoxidil please visit a cardiologist for your heart evaluation (not dermatologist) , Minoxidil (oral) has some rare but fatal side effect. Where as you can start finasteride without a worry - just make sure to consult a dermatologist once. (Fin is not recommended for people under 21 & those planning for pregnancy especially women).

Did you use ketoconazole shampoo?

Yes , In winter due to dandruff

Did you experience a second shed after switching to oral?

No.
