Head-scratcher problem with dishwasher
OK, this one has me totally stumped. I replaced the kitchen faucet this morning, nothing wrong with it but my wife wanted a different one. Removal and install went fine, but once completed, I needed to run a rinse cycle in the dishwasher (DW) from Mother's Day breakfast, but there is no water going to the dishwasher. I checked all of the obvious things (DW valve shut off instead of on), but no luck. The only thing that I did as past of the install that was at all related to the DW was to remove the drain hose from the disposal, as I had to remove the disposal to get access to the back of the sink to remove/install the faucet. I checked the supply valve to the dishwasher, there's water going to the DW (its a separate valve from the sink hot water supply). I can hear the DW running when I try to run the rinse cycle, but no water. I also tried an express wash, same problem. Seems like the symptoms point to a bad inlet valve, but I'm suspicious as the DW was running fine (I ran it last night, no problems). Does anyone have any other ideas of what to look for? It's a Bosch, about 10 yrs old but I've maintained it. Only breakdown until this point was replacing the drain pump.
Would love any help from the hive mind, I suppose its possible that by coincidence, the inlet valve is bad, but seems like something else was triggered by the faucet replacement. I turned off the DW breaker to see if it just needed a reset, but no luck.
TIA for any possible ideas.
