I am a CMA Final student and lately I have been feeling very negative about my career prospects.

Whenever I explore domains that genuinely interest me — such as Transfer Pricing, Insolvency, Equity Research, Financial Analysis, M&A, or Corporate Finance — people keep telling me that these fields mostly prefer CAs.

They say:

Taxation = CA

Audit = CA

Accounts = CA

And then they ask me, “So what will a CMA do?”

Honestly, hearing this repeatedly has affected my confidence. I am now confused about where to focus, how to build my career, and how to survive professionally in such a competitive market.

I know CMA also has value, but right now I am struggling to see the path clearly.

I would really appreciate honest guidance from professionals or seniors who have been through this phase.

What strong career paths are available for CMA students?

How can I compete in domains where CA candidates are preferred?

What skills should I build to become employable and future-ready?

Is CMA enough if combined with practical skills and persistence?

Please share genuine advice. I truly need some direction right now.
