Hey I (27M) just wanted to post this for some advice. Originally I'm from Pennsylvania. About 2 years ago, my parents retired and decided to move down to Florida. I was in between jobs and enjoy being close to my family so I decided to move with them.

Currently, I really dislike the area (Southwest FL) I am in. It is a big retirement community. I had a job for a bit in the area but decided to resign. It is depressing being the only person in your 20s in the area. I feel like I am missing out on everything.

I really miss my hometown and the relationships I had there because I had a great childhood. I also went to college near where I grew up which was also a great experience.

Now, in Florida, I feel cut off from all of the connections I made and built over the years.

I am debating moving back to my hometown but also looking at the major cities in Florida. Tampa, Orlando, and Miami seem appealing but the cost of living is absurd.

I would like to be near my aging parents and help take care of them and spend time together but absolutely despise the area I am in right now. I also would love to have a family in the future and give my kids the same kind of childhood I had growing up.

Any advice? Tips? Should I move back north or try to find a new way in a new city? Is it worth it to move back to your hometown if family is no longer there?

I have to say I've really been enjoying Cape since I started using it recently. The best feature, in my opinion, is the ability to get two additional real numbers. It is fantastic having one for financial accounts and one for all other online accounts. I've found that this really simplifies my setup, and I don't have to rely on using VOIP services, most of which dont work properly for financial accounts and many other online accounts. Do you guys still rely on VOIP even while using Cape? Curious to hear your thoughts.
